Boeing B-29 Superfortress crashed into another battle-damaged B-29 at Iwo Jima, Bonin Island Group.  Bombardier's sprained ankle was the only injury.

Crowd gathers on embankment to look at 19th Bomb Group Boeing B-29 "Superfortress", which crash landed on Iwo Jima, Bonin Islands; two engines were knocked out during raid over Osaka, Japan, 10 March 1945.

When crippled, the largest things are most helpless!  This 499th Bomb Group Boeing B-29 "Seperfortress" had to ditch off shore.  Iwo Jima, Bonin Islands.
